Technical Lead – Software Development

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Lead to join our software development team. The Technical Lead will be responsible for guiding the team of developers, ensuring the technical quality of the products, and providing technical direction on software design and architecture. You will work closely with product managers, end-users, and other teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with our business objectives.

Job Requirements

1. Technical Leadership

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the software development team.
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-quality software applications.
Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, including coding standards, code reviews, and unit testing.
Act as a technical mentor to junior developers, providing support and knowledge-sharing.
 
2. Architecture and Design

Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design and implement software architecture that supports high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Lead efforts in choosing the right technology stacks, tools, and frameworks to meet project goals.
Drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment with overall company technical strategy.
 
3. Project Management and Collaboration
 

Work closely with the project management team to plan, prioritize, and track development tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, UX/UI, QA, etc.) to ensure successful delivery of software projects.
Balance technical leadership with hands-on coding when needed, participating in development tasks and resolving complex technical challenges.

4. Quality Assurance and Code Review

Ensure that the team delivers clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and practices.
Define and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Drive the adoption of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing processes.
 
5. Team Building and Development
 

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new developers to build a strong, capable development team.
Identify and promote opportunities for team members to grow their technical skills and careers.
 
6. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving

Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during development or in production environments.
Provide expert guidance in root cause analysis, debugging, and system optimization.
 
Qualifications:

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in a leadership or senior developer role.
Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities, acting as an independent leader who manages the team and reports to the Singapore management.
Strong expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., .Net Core, ReactNative, ReactJS, Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
Experience with software architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems.
Proficiency in using development tools such as version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
Solid understanding of web services, databases, cloud technologies, and microservices architectures.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with DevOps practices, including automation, containerization, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) or mobile development.
