Job Description

- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and untapped markets.
- Analyse competitor strategies and pricing to position the company effectively.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers, distributors, and buyers to expand the trading portfolio.
- Generate and pursue new leads through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and digital platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Alibaba).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and buyers to maximize profitability.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tenders to potential clients.
- Collaborate with the logistics and operations team to ensure smooth order fulfilment and client satisfaction.
- Ensure all trade transactions comply with international regulations (e.g., Incoterms, export/import laws).
- Oversee the preparation of commercial invoices, shipping documents, and LC (Letter of Credit) processing.
- Liaise with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks in cross-border transactions.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospects and provide regular updates to management.
- Monitor sales performance using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and adjust strategies as needed.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on business development activities, challenges, and achievements.

Job Requirements

- Education: Diploma in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related field.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines.
- Multilingual abilities for international trade.
